Structural and Physical Properties

ZSM-48 is a high-silica zeolite with the framework code MRE, characterized by:

• 10-membered ring (10-MR) channels in a one-dimensional configuration

• A relatively high Si/Al ratio, contributing to its hydrothermal and acid resistance

• Needle- or rod-like crystal morphology, often seen in SEM analysis

• Narrow pore openings (~5.4 Å), ideal for shape-selective catalysis

These properties make ZSM-48 especially suited to reactions involving linear hydrocarbons or size-sensitive intermediates. It belongs to a broader class of medium-pore zeolite materials（like ZSM-5/ZSM-11/MCM-22/TNU-9/EU-1) with selective performance in C5+ conversions.

Key Applications

ZSM-48 has demonstrated excellent performance in several catalytic processes, particularly those involving C5+ hydrocarbon transformation. Common applications include:
